Varinder S. Phangureh, MD, RPVI, is one of the board-certified vascular and endovascular surgeons on the team at Vascular Surgery Medical Group. Dr. Phangureh sees patients at both of the practice's state-of-the-art offices located in San Leandro and San Ramon, California.

Dr. Phangureh began his undergraduate career at the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts with honors in molecular environmental biology. After graduating from UC Berkeley, he went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, located in The Bronx, New York.

Following his formal education, Dr. Phangureh was accepted into a competitive residency program in integrative vascular surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan. While there, he honed his skills as a vascular surgeon by working with some of New York's most esteemed physicians.

Dr. Phangureh maintains active memberships with the American College of Surgeons, the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, and the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society. He is devoted to staying current on advancements in his field so that he can help his patients achieve optimal health outcomes.
