About Dr. Ingegno
Michael Ingegno, MD, is an experienced, board-certified vascular surgeon. He currently serves the East Bay community at Vascular Surgery Medical Group in San Leandro and San Ramon, California.
Dr. Ingegno graduated with his bachelor’s degree in biology from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He received his medical degree from the SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York City.
After graduating, Dr. Ingegno completed both an internship and residency in general surgery at the University of California Irvine in Irvine, California. He completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Florida’s Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.
Currently, Dr. Ingegno is the Chief of Staff at San Leandro Hospital and the Medical Director of the Endovascular Suite and Noninvasive Vascular Laboratory at Vascular Surgery Medical Group.
Dr. Ingegno has also held numerous other leadership roles throughout his extensive medical career. Past positions include Vice Chief of Staff and Chairman of the Department of Surgery at San Leandro Hospital as well as President of the Northern California Vascular Society.
His professional memberships include the American College of Surgeons, the Society for Vascular Surgery, the American College of Phlebology, the Society for Vascular Technology, the Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association, the East Bay Surgical Society, the San Francisco Surgical Society, and the Northern California Vascular Society.
